Gyumri Aarhus Center is participating in formation of an effective system for public monitoring of green areas management processes in the RA
In support of Gyumri Aarhus Center this year on March 24 and June 23 were conducted training courses under the theme “Methods of public monitoring of urban green areas and their management processes” with participation of NGOs and HEI representatives.
The training was held in support of the “European Endowment for Democracy” (EED) within the frameworks of the “Improvement of management practices and transparent local government” program implemented by the “Third Nature” NGO. Within the program has been developed and published the “Methodological manual for public monitoring of urban green areas and their management processes”.
Submitted by the Monitoring Group, “Monitoring for the Future” program, which aims to implement public monitoring of urban green areas in the city of Gyumri, recently has been recognized as the winner of the sub-grants contest of the Jinishian Memorial Foundation and will be implemented within the next three months.The “Third Nature” NGO is planning to conduct training courses with participation of civil society organizations and other interested organizations of the field of urban green areas management in Gyumri, Alaverdi, Stepanavan and Vanadzor Aarhus Centers, as well as in the cities of Artik and Spitak.
