Public Hearings over Draft of Reconstruction of a Sector of drainage tunnel No. 1of Mets – Tala District of Dilijan in the Aarhus Center
On June 20, public hearings over draft documents of reconstruction of the sector PK+00 PK6-56 of drainage tunnel No. 1 of Mets- Tala district of the city of Dilijan was held in Dilijan Aarhus Center.
The participants were representatives of Dilijan Municipality, Environmental Expertise SNCO, Dilijan newspaper and the Central Bank of the RA. The draft of reconstruction of the mentioned sector of the drainage tunnel No. 1 in Mets- Tala district was drawn up in 2013, in accordance with the agreement N 18/300113-1, signed in 30.01.2013 between “ArmHydroEnergyProject” CJSC and the Central Bank.
According to the draft for liquidating landslide
phenomena of Mets- Tala district in the town of Dilijan at the reconstructing 656 m long section is planned to construct six drainage wells, at a depth of 22: -150 m and with drilling diameters at the height of 151/93 mm.

From the inside of the tunnel drainage vertical wells will be drilled at a depth of 4 m, in cross section on frequency of 5 m and at a depth of 2 m.At the all drainage wells will be installed metal perforated tubes with10% of porosity of the general surface.

Dilijan community representatives highlighted the construction works already carried out to liquidate landslide phenomena in the central part of the city and the reconstruction of the tunnel hoping that the landslide phenomena will be neutralized.

According to them, these two tunnels somewhat are solution to the environmental and community safety issues.The attendees were interested in what ways they could approach to the drilling drainage wells. In response the designers explained that mainly will be used the existing approaches and only in one way will be implemented a new approach.

Also are planned environmental measures, specifically conservation of plant layer of soil in the worksite, territory improvement and landscaping: smoothing of 500 m2 area and planting of 100 trees.
