The villagers in their efforts have restored the landslide and damaged water pipelines

On the morning of September 22, a landslide occurred nearby Yeghegnadzor-Gnishik highway in Vayots Dzor province causing damage to the irrigation and drinking water pipelines.

An operative group of RRD left for the scene. It turned out that at the 20th kilometer of Yeghegnadzor-Gnishik sector of H -40 highway a landslide occurred (about 350 square meters), as a result was damaged about 20 m in length drinking water pipeline of Mozrov and Gnishik villages.

The area is located at the administrative area of Gnishik

village and maintained by the community, so the villagers themselves have carried out restoration works, particularly strengthening the damaged pipe and covering with soil.Note that the area is located at a landslide-prone area; a few years ago a small landfall was occurred there, this year has been a large-scale landslide.

Representatives of relevant agencies have visited the scene to observe, but what works will be done to prevent the movement of the landslide and the subsequent activation is still uncertain.

This issue will be at the focus of Yeghegnadzor Aarhus Center in order to find reasonable solution to the problem.
